Alessie & Co. B.V. was founded in 1916 by Dorus Alessie in Amsterdam. Initially trading mainly Robusta coffee. The second and third generation switched to Arabica coffees.
Alessie & Co. became a leading trader in Brazil coffee’s in the 60’s and developed close relations with Brazil from then on.
Four generations that continued excellent contacts with Brazil, made Alessie & Co. the European specialist in fine Brazilian coffees. Niche marketing these coffees to roasters of all sizes at their logistical requirements throughout Europe.
